What do you think about calling people "comrade" rather than "ma'am" or "sir"?

I think I've solved the problem I was complaining about in my previous question. Comrade is gender neutral. Of course if you're an actual knight you can still be called Sir but I don't think every man should get to have this title just by virtue of his genitalia, when women still have to be annoyed with the term "ma'am." I'm going to start referring to people as "comrade" in situations that would normall call for ma'am or sir. How about it, comrades?
